Background Information – This essence of solarized glacier water was prepared below the terminus of the Gulkana Glacier in the central Alaska Range.
The water emerging from the base of this glacier carries fine particles of rock – the remains of a mountain eroded over the years by the constant pressure and movement of glacial ice. This silt, or rock flour as it is sometimes called, is so concentrated that it turns the water gray. The area where this water was collected is immensely powerful. In its continuing cycles of advance and retreat, the glacier has carved a wide valley out of the mountain, leaving huge boulders and tall hills of gravel in its wake.
Healing Qualities – The Glacier River essence is for those who are attached to the current form of their lives, even when there is every indication that it needs to change. The weight of our present potential always moves the past into position to be released. This essence teaches us that if we are to truly accept and embody change, we must always be willing to let go of the form of what has been.
