Chiron

The flower this essence is made from seems to be very connected to the planet chiron and so mirror the energetics and qualities that astrologers have attributed to this small planet.

All things are connected, from the smallest blade of grass to the farthest star in a distant galaxy. The planets in our solar system each embody a unique energy, which radiates out from them and affects all living things on this Earth. At the moment of our birth we are like an empty photographic plate, and astrologers say that the particular configuration of the planets in the sky at that exact moment imprint on us and affect our journey and patterns of behaviour and responses in this short life.

In mythology, Chiron – a centaur, is known as the wounded healer. During his life he became amongst other things a great healer and created a Healing Temple called the Chironium. However he was never able to heal a wound he received in his foot from an arrow shot by Achilles, and lived his life in great pain from that time.

Simplistically put the placement of Chiron in our birth chart indicates the major wounds we carry in this life. All of us carry a "big one", a wound or deep problem that plagues us and affects us all our lives. It is the area we need to work on, to understand, accept and ultimately to transform. This essence helps us to pin point this wound, to illuminate it and bring clarity, understanding and compassion to it.
