Expansion

This essence works in opening up the region of the chest, helping us to allow more air into our lungs. When we breathe in it is not only air that we are breathing, we are also taking in Prana - the life force of existence, without which we would not continue to live for another moment. The colour of the flower this essence is made from is sky blue - it connects us to both the sky that is around us and to the vast inner sky that is within us. As we come to know this sky within we come to understand that there are not two sky's bounded by our body but only one sky. The whole universe is made of the same stuff - it is within us and without us. We are not alone. We are interconnected with every single atom of the Universe.

On a very simple level the oxygen the trees breathe out, we are breathing in and conversely the carbon dioxide we breathe out the plants are breathing in. And this is so with all aspects of life.

Every living thing on Earth receives heat and life from the Sun - if the Sun dies, life as we know it dies. In fact the Earth originated from the Sun - so in a very real way we are all children of the Sun. And so it goes on with our connection to the farthest galaxies.

This essence works on opening up the chest - allowing us to breathe deeply and fully - allowing us to let life in and breathe out the past moment. In expanding our breathe we expand, we become bigger, able to feel more - experience more, pulsate with life, and at the same time realise that we are connected with all living things - we are not separate - this awakens within us a reverence for life. Such a person is like an open flower - spreading its fragrance to the wind and attracting the honey bees to drink from its nectar.

The flower does not have any purpose or motive in opening up and sharing its glory with world, it doesn't care if anyone notices it or not, it does so for the sheer bliss of doing so.
