The essence of understanding the lives of others. To enhance empathy, to help one get in touch with how Life is experienced by others, to integrate this into one’s comprehension of Life. To view Life from a perspective that encompasses all the possibilities a person can face, and thus lose any judgemental attitudes. To inspire the realisation that "one day this could happen to me" and so prepare oneself for the twists and turns that Life may present.

• For those who are naive about Life because of lack of experience, or lack of sharing the experiences of others.
• For those who can't develop deeper relationships because they easily make shallow and sweeping judgements of other people's situations.
• For those who have not developed empathy and remain aloof from others.
• For those who find themselves in a trauma and are unable to cope because of lack of experience of such things. Often they have never contemplated their Life going amiss, or have not ever empathised with those who have had problems. Usually they condemned a person for being to blame for their own troubles. When they eventually meet difficulties they feel totally lost because there is no wisdom to draw on with which to face their plight.
